Lindens Model Flying Club - RULES! 2008     Download PDF version for printing

Provisional and subject to revision and updates especially in the beginning as we work out what's really needed on this specific site. Its your responsibility to check here often to find out as things evolve.

Any suggestions please use the forum as that's what its for!

  • And at the moment due to the wet summer and autumn the field is a bit soggy. We don't want to churn it up so while its in this state NO DRIVING ON THE FIELD!

  • The most important rule is to keep the farmer happy!  Its a working farm so don't get in the way or park in peoples way!  What the farmer says goes!  Eventually he will probably allow us to use common sense and park on the field and keep mowers and BBQ equipment in the new Microlite hanger about to be built. They are building the concrete base now.

  • All members must be covered by valid insurance and shown as requested.

  • Aircraft must NEVER be flown out of or into the pits

  • All vehicles to be parked on defined parking area

  • When parking on the field, cars must be parked in accordance with the site plan. Vehicles must not, however, be taken onto the field when the ground is soft,

  • No litter to be left in field or car park

  • Members to be aware of and follow B.M.F.A. guidelines where applicable

  • No engine to be run unless fitted with an efficient silencer (control line, pulse jets, turbines excluded?)

  • Tail restraints will be used at all times when starting engines where sensible!

  • The peg-board must be used at all times

  • All pilots must stand in the Pilots Box

  • Always keep the runways clear

  • Aircraft must NEVER be flown over the pits

  • Inform other members flying of your intention to land by calling "LANDING" or "DEAD-STICK"

  • Although every attempt will be made by senior members to ensure the safety of all junior members, it is pointed out that the ultimate responsibility for junior members safety must lie with the junior members guardian.

  • No dogs allowed even if they have an A or B certificate.
